Can you explain how these two problems relate? This is a fresh install of exchange server. I have never had exchange server installed on this server. I also see a different error on that thread. Also this error was from trying to installed Exchange server 2010.

Can you tell me more about your situation? Is this a fresh install of Exchange 2010 in your organization? Or are there any other Exchange servers in environment? Were you able to prep the schema/domain successfully? What roles are you trying to install on this server? Do you have any anti-virus or firewall running on this machine? Can you run the Pre-deployment Analyzer and post any errors or warning? http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=88b304e7-9912-4cb0-8ead-7479dab1abf2&displaylang=en Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

Hi, Do you install exchange 2010 by using setup.exe or setup.com? To troubleshoot this problem, please first try the following steps: Checked if the server has SPN setup correctly: a. On the domain controller, open adsiedit, msc. b. Expand to Domain,CD=Computer, c. Right-click CN=<var>serverName</var>, and then click Properties. d. In the Attributes list, click servicePrincipalName, and then click Edit. e. Under Values, make sure that it contains the following Value: HOST/ServerNetBiosName Then installing exchange 2010 again. If the issue persists, please try to disjoin the server from domain and then rejoin. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. Thanks
